Before buying an accessory

Here are some important steps you need to check before buying a new Z-Wave device

Radio frequency

Depending of the region you live, you will choose only accessories of the same radio frequency. For example 923MHz for US, 868MHz for Europe. Any accessory with other frequency is not going to work.

Z-Wave version

You can tell the Z-Wave version from the logo: Z-Wave or Z-Wave plus. New hubs that support Z-Wave plus, usually work with the old Z-Wave version too; but old hubs don't work with Z-Wave plus accessories.

Compatibility

Depending of the hub (central box) you are using some accessories functions may be available or not. Please check the user manual for your hub.
